Laser Hair removal/reduction

We are excited to offer laser hair removal/reduction treatments with the 810-Diode laser which is safe for all skin tones.  If you’re over waxing, shaving and plucking we encourage you to start your hair reduction journey with us!

Laser hair removal treatments use light energy to permanently damage or destroy hair follicles.  When the hair follicle is heated by the laser it can destroy the hair follicle and causes hair to fall out usually without the ability to regenerate.  While no laser for laser hair removal can guarantee permeant hair removal (Electrolysis is the only permeant hair removal option) typically any hair that does continue to grow presents finer, in fewer numbers and less noticeable often with longer times in between hair growth.  Hair on your body is always in different stages of growing so multiple sessions are required for treatment.  With our built in contact cooling feature this ensures your treatment is performed with increased comfort and with reduced risks of unwanted side effects for darker skin tones.

Did you know that the FDA says that laser hair treatments can effectively reduce the amount of hair by 70%.  The November 2016 issue of The Journal of Cosmetic and Laser therapy featured an article on the safety and efficacy of continuous motion 810nm diode lasers used for laser hair removal which has multiple other articles that continue to support the evidence that continuous motion diode lasers are the gold standard as the safest on all skin types and provide the best long term results.

Vascular Reduction

The Long Pulsed Nd:YAG is a medical laser that uses a 1064nm wave of light to delivery energy though the skin to the targeted vessel.  It is a common treatment to reduce vascular lesions by using energy to heat, intentionally damage and collapse the targeted blood vessel.  Treatment can be performed on different types of vascular lesions including spider veins, cherry angiomas, venous lakes and more.

tattoo removal

Do you have a tattoo you’re tired of looking at or covering up?  We offer treatments with the Q-Switched Yag/KTP laser which is considered one of the safest most reliable methods of tattoo removal with minimal downtime.

Our laser will meet your tattoo removal needs which will erase or at least significantly fade the appearance of an unwanted tattoo.  The Q-Switched Yag laser uses dual wavelengths (1064nm/532nm) which is effective in removing a vast range of tattoo pigments (colors).  When the laser delivers high-intensity energy to penetrate the outer layer of skin of your tattoo it breaks up the tattoo pigment into smaller particles which your body will metabolize and get rid of over the next 8 weeks.

The number of treatments required varies from tattoo to tattoo and person to person but occur every 8 weeks.  Factors that can affect the number of treatments required for resolution include variations such as professional tattoos versus amateur tattoos, the size of the tattoo, the age of the tattoo, colors used and more which will can be discussed at a free consultation.

Laser treatments

Laser treatments are convenient nonsurgical in-office treatments available to address multiple concerns.  Medical lasers provide safe and effective non-surgical treatments to treat multiple concerns including reduction of body hair, reduction of the appearance of veins like spider vines, improvement in the appearance of pigmented lesions such as sun spots, removal of tattoos and skin resurfacing to help reduce surface pigmentation while minimizing mild to moderate fine lines and wrinkles.  During these non-invasive treatments energy is delivered at specified wave length to penetrate though the skin, without harming the skin, targeting specific chromophores.  Chromophores are the color producing areas of a molecule and depending on the desired treatment specific chromophores are targeted and heated by the laser to achieve the desired outcome, all while leaving the surrounding skin unheated.  Typically, laser treatments require a series of treatments to achieve the desired outcome.

skin resurfacing

Skin resurfacing with the Erbium 2940nm is the treatment of choice for anyone wanting to achieve dramatic improvements in the appearance of their skin.

This nonsurgical in-office treatment heats up the superficial and lower layers intentionally causing temporary microdamage which triggers your body’s healing response.  This is intentional and the goal of treatment sessions because as the skin regenerates tone and texture improves as this procedure removes superficial pigmentation and improves the appearance of mild to moderate fine lines and wrinkles.  Additionally it is an excellent treatment of acne scars, dark circles, crepey skin, dull skin and sometimes it can help tighten very mild sagging.  Treatments can be performed on the face, neck, chest and hands.

The Erbium treatment requires minimal downtime when compared to more aggressive lasers but will help you to achieve dramatic results and improvement you’re desiring when preformed in a series.

Beauty Care

Photofacial
(IPL Treatment)

Intense Pulsed Light also known as “IPL” is a versatile treatment that offers different treatment options to help you achieve healthy beautiful skin.  Frequently IPL is used to reduce brown spots from sun damage, age spots, freckles, improve skin texture and to minimize and improve the appearance of broken capillaries and redness from rosacea, acne and acne scars (Skin resurfacing is recommended for excessive acne scarring).  Stimulating collagen production can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles reducing the signs of aging and while this is not an indication for IPL it’s a nice bonus!

The energy that is delivered during IPL treatments penetrates various levels of the skin without harming the surface so there is little to no downtime after each treatment.

Improvements are typically seen within a few days after treatment and is safe for both men and woman however IPL is not suitable for all skin types.  Recommendations are for treatment series of at least 3 occurring 1 month apart to achieve optimal results and give you healthier and younger looking skin.
